Our stated goal is to employ some of the best people in their field. We are committed to investing in ongoing training and development and this coupled with our ethos, management style and commitment to excellent growth has resulted in staff with long service - something highly valued by our clients. We also employ some exceptional recent post-graduates and graduates who are at the beginning of their financial planning careers but keen to assist in giving the best possible service to clients. Our staff providing advice are professionally qualified and continue their professional development within the firm.

David Saunderson - Chief Executive
David has been giving investment and financial planning advice for many years as the principal of Saunderson House of which he was Chief Executive for twenty four years and then subsequently with Cantab and its antecedents. David read engineering at Downing College, Cambridge and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1979. David serves as a trustee of several charities and enjoys skiing and tennis when time allows.
Dr Jeremy Davis - Managing Director
Jeremy has been advising private clients and companies for many years and has been the Managing Director of one of the antecedent firms - 35 Finance. Jeremy read Natural Sciences at Magdalene College, Cambridge and holds a Ph.D in Genetics and Plant Breeding. Jeremy is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner. Prior to Cantab, Jeremy worked in South America and Africa for the World Bank and Unilever. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and enjoys sailing, music and gardening.
Toby Allebon - Director
Toby is both a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Financial Planner. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate, the Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice and is an ACCA affiliate.
After reading Natural Sciences at Durham University, in 2001 Toby joined the Investec graduate programme. He has been working with private clients for many years.
Toby loves spending time with his young family and now watches rather than plays rugby.
Cristina Bota - Director
Cristina trained with Santander Bank and has been advising private clients for many years. Cristina is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Law from Babas Bolyai University.
Cristina enjoys skiing, cycling and squash.
Leah Bramwell - Director
Leah read Economics at Newnham College, Cambridge before starting her career with Orbis Investment Advisory in London. Here, she provided equity investment recommendations for a Global fund and became a CFA Charterholder. Leah completed an MPhil in Economic History at Darwin College, Cambridge where she enjoyed playing Varsity golf and real tennis.
Ed Green - Director
Edward is a Chartered Financial Planner advising private clients and trustees.
Edward worked previously for Lloyds Bank and has experience in the biotechnology industry having graduated with a degree in Biomedical Science from Cardiff university.
In his spare time, Edward enjoys playing sports and taking trips away with his family.
David Silver - Director
David is a Chartered Accountant and holds the Investment Management Certificate of the CFA. He read Geography at Downing College, Cambridge. David loves cricket, walking and travelling to 'off the beaten track' destinations.
Lionel Welch - Director
Lionel is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds an economics degree and an MBA from HEC School of Management.
Lionel brings a wide experience of financial markets, analysis and strategy having previously worked for Morgan Stanley in London and Hong Kong, before moving to BlackRock.
Lionel is fluent in French, less so in Spanish and enjoys sailing, skiing and Crossfit.
Mark Wynne-Jones - Director
Mark has 25 years' experience in global equity and multi-asset investing, with much of this time spent at Investec Asset Management, and prior to that UBS Wealth Management and Cavendish Asset Management.
Mark studied at the London School of Economics and London Business School, and is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association.
Monique Carew - Business Systems / Operations
Monique holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Systems and Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She worked for several years in the digital communications sector as Finance Officer before moving to England and joining the University of Cambridge Unified Administrative Services for 14 years, initially as a Financial Adviser but finally as Head of Research Operations.
Monique enjoys running, long coastal walks, gardening and reading.
Patrick Smyth - Investment Manager
Patrick trained with Refuge Assurance and has worked within the investment and insurance sector for many years. Patrick joined Cantab's antecedent firm in Cambridge in 2005 providing investment portfolio advice for private clients, trusts and charities. Patrick is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a member of the CFA Society and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Patrick enjoys cooking, music and gardening.
Jack Burchell - Senior Associate Director
Jack joined Cantab having obtained a degree in Sport Science from Loughborough University, where he also competed as a national level swimmer.
Jack still enjoys swimming in his free time and watching football.
Jack holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Dr Don Stevens - Senior Associate Director
Don holds multiple degrees in business and finance and joined Cantab in 2018 after obtaining a PhD in Applied Behavioural Finance at St Edmund's College, Cambridge. He also holds the Investment Advice Diploma in Securities.
Don is an avid reader and still actively follows rugby, having played both professionally and for Cambridge University.
Matt Shevlane - Associate Director
Matt joined Cantab having read Economics at the University of Nottingham.
Matt enjoys watching and playing many sports, especially football and tennis.
Matt holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
James Hamilton - Assistant Director
James studied Investment and Financial Risk Management at Cass Business School, London. James' interests include playing rugby, skiing and kitesurfing.
James holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Harry Sangha - Assistant Director
Harry joined Cantab having read Geography with Economics at the London School of Economics. Alongside his studies, Harry has helped in his family's businesses.
Harry is a sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoys playing football.
Matt Wheeler - Assistant Director
Matt joined Cantab having obtained a MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton. Matt enjoys skiing, playing hockey and golf. He is also an avid follower of football and Formula 1.
Matt holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Rhys Cann - Assistant Wealth Manager
Rhys holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of Birmingham. Rhys enjoys skiing, golf and tennis. He is a keen follower of football and plays for the Cantab 5-a-side team.
Andrew Teevan - Assistant Wealth Manager
Andrew was born and raised in Cambridge, and studied History at the University of Bristol. This was followed by an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, where he investigated the impact of the 'Financial Revolution' in the City of London towards the end of the 17th century.
In his spare time, Andrew loves to play squash, watch rugby, and is an avid reader of novels and history.
James Woodman - Assistant Wealth Manager
James read Business Economics at the University of Surrey where he enjoyed both coaching and playing tennis.
Having spent a large portion of his life living in Dubai, he enjoys returning to the hot climate and the accompanying Middle-Eastern cuisine.
Joe Cramp - Graduate Wealth Manager
Joe grew up in Nottingham and joined Cantab following the completion of his BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. He likes to spend his time following and playing both football and tennis. He is a big fan of Cantab's local football team, Cambridge United, and can be found watching them at home games.
Michael Grayston - Graduate Wealth Manager
Michael read Economics and Finance at the University of Exeter. Having grown up in Dubai, Michael loves the warm weather, but also enjoys skiing and snowboarding, as well as powerlifting and boxing.
Tom Griffin - Graduate Wealth Manager
Tom joined Cantab after completing a masters degree in Mathematics from Swansea University. Whilst at Swansea, he competed for the University in badminton and football. Tom enjoys playing football for the Cantab team and following his boyhood club, Arsenal.
Tom Picton-Turbervill - Graduate Wealth Manager
Tom read Economics and Management at Durham University, whilst playing for the rugby team there. He now plays for a social rugby sevens team through the summer months. Since graduating, Tom has travelled around Argentina, Kenya and Eastern Europe.
Jigar Pipalia - Graduate Wealth Manager
Jigar graduated from the University of Bath with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Finance. Brought up in London, Jigar moved to Cambridge recently and enjoys football, cricket and badminton. Jigar is particularly passionate about playing the drums.
Judith Purton - Executive Assistant to CEO
Judith started her career working for a multinational in London in the Human Resources Division. She is PA to our CEO and coordinates our event management and recruitment. She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
In her spare time, she enjoys circuit training, pilates and travelling.
Marina Isakova - Finance Executive
Marina has many years' experience in the financial services sector both in the UK and in Latvia. Marina holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and holds the Professional AAT Diploma. Marina is currently working towards the ACCA qualification.
Marina enjoys an active life, travelling and exploring new places, swimming and pilates.
Natalie Morris - Marketing
Natalie has over fifteen years of experience in marketing, much of which has been gained in the professional services sector. She has a thorough understanding of marketing strategy and implementation across digital platforms and traditional channels such as print and events.
In her spare time, she enjoys singing, travelling, cycling, time with her family and is an avid fan of motor racing.
